Losing Weight To Help Chronic Pain

I’m sure that a lot of people are in the same position as I am with being told on occasion that you are not helping yourself with the level of pain you are in by gaining weight. Now I know I cannot be anywhere near as active as I used to be

, as I used to walk everywhere and be very active but while in so much pain it is incredibly hard and on a level depressing as I’d like to weigh less and turn around to the doctors and say “I told you it wasn’t my weight”.
To get my weight down I stopped eating chocolate and as many biscuits and have started weight watchers pro points as it is a great way to lose the weight in a slow and controlled way. So far in week 1 I am down 9lbs which is way more than I thought I’d lose and I’m thrilled but so far there has been no change for the good with the pain just a minor increase but it is manageable. This first week has been difficult through craving chocolate, takeaway and sugar but using smoothies with coco powder and more thought in what I am cooking those cravings are not as bad as last time I pointed my food. Now all I have to do is lose the next 42lbs that will drop me to a healthy weight and take one more possible cause of my severe back pain.
